At the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, 2020-2021, many neighbours of Nursery Road, Bishop’s Stortford, got to know people they would not otherwise meet and created a wonderful community spirit, thanks to Ellen who set up a WhatsApp group.

During the lockdown a broad range of artistic talents was revealed and this site was set up in February 2021 to display their drawings, paintings, photos, poems, writing, etc.

How to add things to the site

Email your contributions to: You retain the copyright to your contributions. Please say how you want to be acknowledged. First names or nicknames are fine, e.g. © 2021 Steve or © 2020 dandelion.

Pictures: If small, scan them if possible. Otherwise take the best photo you can. It is difficult to take proper rectangular photos of pictures but many smartphone or tablet camera functions have a ‘document’ or a ‘fax’ setting which will straighten the image when you take it. In your email include a title and any text you want under the picture.

Poems/Writing: Just include the text in the email or attach it as a document. Please say if you have a formatting requirement such as a particular typeface.

Videos/Music: These files tend to be too large to send by email but upload arrangements can be made. Contact Steve.
